PURCHASING OF CELLULAR PHONES
Resulting from a sharp increase in complaints made to the GNBS recently regarding the quality of cellular phones, Consumers are advised to ensure the following when purchasing new cellular phones:
1.Collect and keep a separately written warranty document, receipt other documentation accompanying the cell phone.
2.Input *#06# to ensure the IMEI number that appears on the screen corresponds to the number inside the back of the phone.
3.Ensure that the phone is charging, is free from blemishes (scratches and discolouration), and the battery and charger are original.
4.Check call timers to determine prior usage.
