As part of the Standards Development Process, the GNBS, on December 12, 2018 hosted a public consultation session on the Draft Standards: Specification and Code of Practice for Coconut water. This session was held to gain feedback on the documents before they are finalized as National Standards. When these drafts are finalized as national standards they can be acquired from the GNBS by producers of coconut water for implementation. Conformance to these standards will allow local producers to sell quality packaged coconut water, which also will be eligible for entry into markets of Caricom Member States.
