The Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) is a semi-autonomous agency within the Ministry of Business. It executes its mandate under the legislative framework of the Amended Standards Act Chapter 90:16 of 1997 and the Weights and Measures Act Chapter 90:15 of 1981, which provides the framework for its operation.
