Technical Assistance ( Consultancy Services)

GOAL OF PROGRAMME

To promote the concepts and principles of Quality Management as outlined in international management system standards which include: the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard as and the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standard through the provision of technical assistance to industries.

OBJECTIVE:

• To provide assistance to organizations desirous of implementing a management system which will in turn facilitate the Certification or Accreditation of those organisations. The GNBS is capable of taking organisations from their current position to the pre-assessment stage.

THE GNBS PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO HELP COMPANIES:

• Conduct gap analyses.
• Train personnel to the requirements of a particular standard.
• Develop all documentation (in relation to the requirements of a particular standard).
• Implement documentation (in relation to the requirements of a particular standard).
• Provide information on registration/certification bodies.
• Assist in addressing nonconformance identified by a registration/certification body.
• In their quest for continuous improvement of their business.

HOW THE PROGRAMME WORKS

Companies or organizations interested in becoming certified to an International Standard such as the ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 can contact the Conformity Assessment Department and the steps to be taken to achieve certification will be discussed. These steps are as follows:

• A request for Technical Assistance should be completed by the requesting organisation and sent to the GNBS.
• A contractual agreement is then established between the GNBS and the requesting organisation.
• A gap analysis is then conducted to determine the areas within the organisation that have to be addressed to meet the requirements of the respective standard.
• The cost to address the gaps and an implementation plan is then provided to the client for their acceptance and approval before actual work commences.
• The GNBS will provide assistance in training, documentation, implementation and monitoring of the management system developed.
