Eighteen participants, mainly from the private sector, are currently benefiting from a four day Professional Internal Auditor Training, provided by the GNBS on the ISO 9001 Standard – Quality Management System Requirements. This training should help these Quality Managers and Supervisors from a range of local companies to acquire the tools necessary to execute an effective audit, and write accurate nonconformity statements and audit reports for their respective organisations. More and more companies are demanding training and consultancy services from the GNBS to implement the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard, in readiness to supply their products and services in the emerging oil economy of Guyana. The GNBS continues to provide standard related services to meet the needs of all its stakeholders.
