GNBS and the Consumer Affairs Division (CAD) of the Ministry of Business jointly conducted lectures for grade 10 students of six secondary schools in Region 3 and Georgetown during the week. Students from Potentia Secondary, Zeeburg Secondary, Bishops High, St. John’s College, North Georgetown Secondary and Richard Ishmael Secondary were educated on the importance of standards, the services offered by the GNBS to protect consumers, the use of the Metric System and their rights and responsibilities as consumers. The GNBS believes that educating these students at this level gives them the unique opportunity to understand how standards relate to what is occurring in their daily lives. This will prepare them to be better business men and women, consumers, and future policy makers, who will ensure that the products and services available are of good quality and fit for use. This series of lectures concludes
